Green Strategy

What gets your green light in the Green Strategy?

NWBC is asking parish and town councils, partner organisations, community groups and local people to tell it which of the priorities set out in the North Warwickshire Green Space Strategy they would most like to see taken forward first.

If their choice is a project on land that they manage, they can also tell us how much funding they would like and how this money would be spent. Any ideas for projects that are not specifically identified within the Strategy but that would help to deliver its priorities can also be put forward.

Projects must:

help to deliver the priorities of the Strategycomprise physical improvements to green space, or the preparation of feasibility studies, plans or landscape designs to deliver such improvements provide value for moneybe sustainablebe inclusive

Match funding is not required for the projects but the use of a grant from the Green Space Strategy Fund as "match" to lever in other external funding will be encouraged.

If you would like to take part in this consultation you can complete the questionnaire (on NWBC’s web site) for your Area Forum.

The results of this consultation will be reported to each Area Forum at its meeting in January 2010 when the decision on the allocation of grants will be made.
